Our Teachers

Chandra's enthusiasm for gemmology and her journey thus far in the gem and jewellery world are impressive.  In only a few years she has earned a Diploma in Gemmology (FGA), an Appraisal Diploma (MV), a rough diamond grading Diploma and opened her own gem and jewellery appraisal business.

Her thirst for knowledge regularly takes her to conferences and gem shows, as well as seminars and advanced workshops at well-known international associations such as the American Gem Trade Association in New York.

Chandra teaches in both English (she has an MA in English Literature) and French at EGM.  She is an instructor for the FGA program and the Master Valuer appraisal course. Chandra also teaches Gemmology 1,2,3,4,5, the pearl and diamond grading workshops, and is very involved with EGM's rough diamond course.

Students benefit form her knowledge and professionalism and enjoy her friendly approach to teaching.
