Gemmology Diploma
Students looking to earn an internationally recognized diploma and title from well-known gem training institutions can do so entirely or in part at the Montreal School of Gemmology (EGM).
Depending on the students program and needs, EGM provides full courses, practical preparation, and tutorial services for students preparing to write exams for the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A), the Canadian Gemmological Association (CGA), and the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
GEMMOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION OF GREAT BRITAIN (Gem-A)
Students who pass the required exams for Gem-A's Diploma in Gemmology, can become Fellows of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and use the prestigious title FGA. As a Gem-A approved Allied Teaching Centre (ATC), the Montreal School of Gemmology (EGM) offers two programs specifically designed for students pursuing this diploma :
- Intensive preparatory course over six months
- Extended preparatory course over twelve months
EGM also serves as a GAPP (Gem-A Approved Practical Provider) where students studying by correspondence can complete the practical component of the Gem-A course requirements in a well-equipped environment with experienced instructors and an extensive selection of teaching specimens.

CANADIAN GEMMOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION (CGA)
EGM also has preparatory courses for students who wish to sit the exams for the Canadian Gemmological Association (CGA). Students who pass the CGA diploma exams will be eligible for the title FCGmA (Fellow of the Canadian Gemmological Association).

GEMOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF AMERICA (GIA)
The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has correspondence students all over the world studying to become Graduate Gemologists (GG). EGM is proud to have served as an exam centre for students in Montreal and surrounding areas. EGM has helped students stay on track with their distance education and provided extra practical support and tutoring.
